About

Tommy Walker is a British journalist who is usually based in Asia. His visual work has been published online and in print for over a decade. Initially beginning as a travel photographer, Tommy has transitioned into capturing global events and news, with a focus on political unrest, human rights and conflict.


Tommy has covered the Hong Kong pro-democracy protests in 2019, the Thailand monarchy reform demonstrations, and civil war in Myanmar. His recent work has seen him cover Russia's war in Ukraine. 


Tommy has also travelled extensively, taking his lens to several corners of the world including less visited places such as North Korea, India, Kazahkstan, Morocco, Cuba, Venezuela and Paraguay.
